PEEK-A-BOO
The ship’s porthole was the inspiration behind these paintings. As a child, I remember being lifted up to peek through the porthole of the Queen Mary and being so excited to see the world from this little round hole. Rather than us looking out, we find happy creatures looking in at us, saying “Peek-a-boo I love you!” Below are examples of Peek-a-boo’s I’ve painted.
MUCHAS –N– POQUITOS COLLECTION
The artwork shown here is selected from the Muchas ‘n’ Poquitos collection (1996-2012). Muchas ‘n Poquitos were creatures who lived with me for 16 years. During that time they insisted on touching everything in my life, covering my walls, canvases, “found” objects, and a hundred pieces of paper with their images and imagination. The message conveyed by these two little creatures was about love, and how it is important to love who you are, everything about yourself because that is the greatest gift you can give to the world! We all came from love.
I can look back now and say that “Muchas & Poquitos” are the parents of my current work Muchas Joy.
SQUARE
Who said being square was boring? Light up your room with joy and laughter when you add a square in your home! It’s what is in the center that counts. Below are examples of squares I’ve painted.
